VEHICLE FOR CONVERSATION (2000)
Vehicle for Conversation
was a two week intervention in the streets of Troy, New
York in 2000.
I rolled a vehicle around, inviting people to join me for a recorded
conversation.
The recordings were used to make an installation, called Speak Deep, and my
first Lecture, called I
used to walk all the way from Pleasantdale.
More info on this
project will at last appear in print, in the forthcoming catalog of Conversation
Pieces, edited/curated
by Mariam Ghani and published by CEPA Gallery.
NOTE: Samples from Speak Deep and I used to walk all the way from Pleasantdale will be available on the Audio Archive soon. March 30, 2010
