MIKANYAMA (Orange-Mountain)
(Work-in-Progress) 1999 - present
I spent December of 1999 and 2000 in Miyaura, a small village in Kyushu, Japan, working at a friend's orange farm and making many recordings of soundscapes there. From 2001-2003, I worked on a 'film' constructed of still photos taken in the Village. The clips were lost due to water damage to an external hard-drive and I have continued the work purely as an ear-film.
